GETNEWS.ID, MATARAM – After three of its citizens (two treated and one died) tested positive for the coronavirus, Mataram City is now in the red zone of the coronavirus spread. The three residents are LJ (initials) from Kelurahan Rembiga, YT (initials) from Kekalik Jaya Kelurahan, both are still in the process of being treated, and the last is J (initials) has died from Dasan Agung.
The Mayor of Mataram, H. Ahyar Abduh confirmed that the city of Mataram entered into the red zone spreading coronavirus. He said that it was appropriate to conduct a closed meeting with the team of handling the COVID-19 Mataram City in the Mataram Mayor’s Hall, Wednesday (1/4).
Mataram City Government continues to make efforts in preventing this coronavirus, starting from spraying disinfectants in Kekalik Jaya Village, Rembiga and Dasan Agung, as well as conducting contact tracing or tracking people who have been in contact with the three positive patients of the coronavirus.
Patients who were positively infected by the coronavirus were divided into two clusters namely the Gowa cluster and the Bogor cluster, meaning they were infected after returning from Gowa and Bogor. One of the patients contracted while attending the Asia Zone World Ijtima Ulama in Gowa, South Sulawesi. The Mayor also asked 60 residents who participated in these activities to continue to be monitored their health.
The Mayor of Mataram also urged the public to obey the rules issued by the government, such as social distancing, physical distancing, avoiding crowds and reducing activities outside the home. Ahyar has also asked the Camat and Lurah to conduct surveillance and assisted by the TNI, Polri and Satpol PP.
With the current conditions, Ahyar admitted that he was quite upset because the reagent (coronavirus checker tool) had not arrived until now. The City Government of Mataram has not been able to confirm that the PDP treated in Mataram City Hospital is positive or not because the results of the Swab must still be sent to the Ministry of Health’s Litbangkes RI so it takes a long time.
Director of Mataram City Hospital, Dr. H. Then Herman Mahaputra asked NTB Hospital to collaborate with Prodia to bring Corona examining reagen (Reagen is a laboratory tool in the form of a liquid that is used to determine a chemical reaction or as a reactant), because this tool was not yet available in NTB. He also admitted that he was upset because the Central Government only appointed and issued a Hospital Decree where coronavirus was examined without bringing in reagen.
Supposedly, the Swab test or coronavirus examination will produce maximum results within six hours. However, due to the absence of these tools, it takes days, because the Swab test must be sent to Surabaya and Jakarta first.
